PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
President
Dr. Chris Carlone
From the President - Chris Carlone
We are rapidly closing in on the end of the school
year and it has been another busy month for the Band and Color Guard . Congratulations to all of our very talented musicians
for their wonderful performances this week. We wish the seniors all the success in the world as they venture forward. They
gave us so much pleasure as we watched their talent, and they will be greatly missed.
Thank you to Debbie Comer, Krista Roberts, Anna Farrell
and Denise Nichols for all their work on the Tag and Vendor sale. Also, thank you to Kathy and Doug Brown
and Mary Mercer for putting together the Outback dinner on such short notice. Both of these wonderful events and all
the other events held throughout this past year would not have taken place if not for the dedicated help from numerous
parent volunteers. Thank you all.
From Chris Carlone:
I am pleased to announce that the local Outback steak
house is willing to work with our organization to provide dinner for our upcoming concert May 22.
As you may already know, Outback has been instrumental in
fundraising for many local nonprofit groups. The Danbury High School Band has had a very successful relationship with
this restaurant. Now it is our turn.
We will be having an informational meeting Tuesday
May 6 at 7:00 pm at the high school for anyone willing to help with the evening events.
If you can not attend the meeting, but can spare time to set up or clean up on May 22, let Kathy Brown at dogonekat@sbcglobal.net or Mary Mercer mercerford@aol.com know what your availability is.
I do not want anyone to miss any part of the concert, so
many hands indeed make lighter work. Please mark your calendars and plan on having dinner with us and staying to enjoy the
concert. We will provide more information as we finalize planning.
Thank you
FEB. 19, 2008
FROM THE PRESIDENT:
A special thank you to all the parents who helped
make this years Winter Guard show the best ever. New Milford received numerous compliments from the visiting guards
and judges on how well organized and helpful everyone was. Pulling off an event of this magnitude is no easy feat.
Thank you Krista. Many were very impressed on how nice the school was decorated. You all did a wonderful
job and our Guard looked spectacular as always.
Thank You,
Chris Carlone
